God Machines takes inspiration from games we grew up loving—like X-Com, Heroes III, Warhammer 40k, and other topics covering dictatorships, Artificial Intelligence, extraterrestrial life, and the unforeseen consequences of technology, all wrapped in a gritty cyberpunk vibe.
Use the Assembler, a part by part builder to meld three species: Humans, Synths, and Machines into unique and fully customizable squads of Combatants. Equip each Combatant with Modules, which provide you with stats and set of Instructions, giving you a broad approach to combat tactics and strategy. Experiment with different approaches and learn your enemy’s preferences and weaknesses to exploit them effectively. Fate is nothing but a good use of data.
Experience the H.E.A.D.S. combat system – a turn-based tactical system without a dice roll based on five primary stats (Health, Energy, Attack, Defense, and Speed), where the cumulative impact of distance between Combatants, placement on the battlefield, and effects caused by Instructions can severely impact the stats. Slow down enemies to finish them off before they move, surround them to reduce their Defense, or inject your Combatants with neurochems to increase their Attack and Speed at the cost of Defense. Watch and control your Energy levels as depleting them on every Combatant results in automatic defeat. An ideal battle system for real strategists. And remember – you need to work on your tactical skills and plan your every move as luck won’t help you in this RNG-free game!

God Machines is particularly close to our hearts. It is the first serious project we started under the Fornixa Games name.
It began when our old friend Zbyszek reached out with a game idea he’d been developing solo. We immediately loved the world and gameplay he envisioned, and that collaboration soon became the foundation of our studio.
The game’s evolved a lot—starting as a board game, shifting to mobile, and growing into today’s version. But the core stayed the same: a moody dystopian world with tough, turn-based strategy and zero randomness. As a player, you calculate, plan, and fully control your tactics—like a true sentient A.I.
We’re building this game after hours, with passion rather than a budget. Along the way, talented people joined us, from Baptiste Miny’s comic-like art to Jakub’s audio work.
The journey’s far from over. Soon, we’re launching a free public playtest to gather feedback, followed by an Early Access release on Steam.
God Machines will launch between late 2026 and early 2027 — but we’re committed to releasing the digital Gods only when they’re truly ready to conquer the world.
Currently, all team members are working on this game part-time for free, out of passion and hope that the project will help us build a strong portfolio and open up opportunities for other ambitious projects.
